A single reference for contracted hours, what’s logged, and a backup coverage plan, so a client’s engagement has somewhere to hold that information instead of nowhere at all.

Description

Contracted hours, what’s actually logged, what’s left for the month, and who covers the client when you’re out. All of it matters, and none of it has a natural home. It lives in scattered invoices, a mental estimate, or nowhere at all, not because anyone dropped it, but because there was never a single place built to hold it.

This sheet gives it one. An hours log tracks contracted, year-to-date, and remaining hours against a monthly, weekly, and daily breakdown, so a shortfall shows up while there’s still time to act on it instead of at invoicing. The Backup Coverage Plan does the same for absences: who covers what, for how long, and what a client should expect to notice, worked out ahead of time instead of assembled the morning of.

It’s a living reference, not a one-time form. An empty coverage plan isn’t a missed step, it’s a gap with nothing built to catch it yet.
